Blasting
Proper surface prep is what separates a coating that lasts five years from one that lasts twenty. ICS uses garnet blast media — proven to deliver the best surface profile for maximum coating adhesion. We operate two dedicated blast rooms with up to four 6-cubic-yard blast pots, plus cabinet blasting for precision smaller parts.
Our blast rooms are completely isolated from the coating areas — no cross-contamination between grit and powder.

Iron
Phosphate
Pre-Treatment
This is the step most shops charge extra for — or skip entirely. ICS includes Iron Phosphate pre-treatment as standard on every coating job. It's the most highly recommended and most commonly overlooked step in the industry, and a core reason our coatings last longer than our competition's.
Iron Phosphate chemically bonds to the metal surface, promoting maximum adhesion of the powder topcoat while simultaneously inhibiting rust formation from within.

Powder
Coating
With 200+ colors in stock and access to hundreds of thousands by order, ICS has the broadest color range available locally. Two independent spray booths allow simultaneous two-color production, or can be combined to create the region's largest virtual spray area.
Two independent curing ovens eliminate production bottlenecks. The primary oven handles parts up to 14 ft wide, 13 ft tall, and 50 ft long — extendable, and found in no other Pacific Northwest job shop.
